Work History
Staked as the UR cl (80519) in Aug/60 by A.E. Aho and transferred to Silver Titan ML, which performed bulldozer trenching in 1963-64 with financing provided by the Titan Project JV (Noranda, Kerr Addison, Canex and Homestake Mg CL). The adjoining Cat cl (82408) staked in Oct/62 by H. Versluce were restaked by Silver Titan in Mar/65 as the Shur cl (83949). The property was sold to Feso Silver ML in Dec/65 and transferred to Cima ML (an Atlas EL subsidiary) in Sep/67.
Restaked in Mar/74 as CH 1-224 cl (Y87340) by United Keno Hill ML, which explored with grid soil sampling and minor trenching in 1974, 46 overburden drill holes (2792.0 m) in 1977 and 59 overburden holes (2844.7 m) in 1979.
Canada Tungsten Mg Corp L added 627 Zap cl (YA38539) on the south side in Mar/79 and explored with reconnaissance silt, soil and lake bottom sampling in 1979-80 and airborne mag and EM surveys in 1981.
Restaked in Dec/92 as AL (YB29452) and W cl (YB29447) by B. Kreft.
Capsule Geology
The claims are underlain by the Mississippian Keno Hill Quartzite, structurally overlain by phyllite and schist of the Late Proterozoic-Early Cambrian Hyland Group, on the north limb on the McQuesten Anticline. Evidence of at least one strong vein includes vein breccia and siderite gangue float in overburden and one bedrock exposure 1.8 m wide. Galena obtained by panning overburden assayed 7542.7 g/t Ag. The United Keno overburden drilling returned encouraging results.
