Capsule

Work History

Staked as Hunter cl (YA79910) in Jun/84 by L. Gatenby. The adjoining Dom cl (YA80272) were staked in Jun/84 by a joint venture between United Keno Hill ML and Falconbridge L, which drilled a fence of percussion holes (609.6 m) 1.6 km to the north later in the year.
Restaked as Laura cl 1-2 (YB30899) by L. Gatenby in Jul/90. V Amendola staked the Louis cl 1-20 (YB45455) and the Alex cl 1-20 (YB454745) in Aug/93.
In Jun/96 Barrimundi Gold Ltd surrounded the Laura claims with a large block of Sur claims.

Capsule Geology

The Dom group follows the wide gravel-filled valley of Dominion Creek, which in this area is underlain by muscovitic and chloritic quartzite and quartz-muscovite-chlorite schist of the Permian Klondike Schist Assemblage (unit Pks). Coarsely crystalline bands of marble (unit Pc) occur within the schists. The drilling returned no significant gold values but up to 20 ppm Ag over 3.0 m were reported.
