Capsule

Work History

Staked as 100 LU cl (YA18102) and as KY cl (YA18087) 4.0 km to the north in Jun-Sep/77 by Anvil-Fishook JV (Amax Potash L, Aquitaine, Union O), which explored the LU group with mapping and grid geochem surveys in 1977, gravity, mag, Max-Min and geochem surveys in 1978, and additional mapping and geochem sampling in 1979. Amax changed its name to Canamax Res L in 1983.

Capsule Geology

The property was staked in an area of extensive overburden but is probably underlain by Lower Cambrian sericite and graphite schist, chlorite phyllite, calc-silicate and amphibolite near the margin of the mid-Cretaceous Anvil Batholith. Only low order geochemical anomalies were found.
The EM surveys located several conductive linears and the gravity surveys outlined four anomalies.
