Work History
Staked as Lorna cl 1-60 (Y54099) and Roto cl 1-50 (Y58151) in Aug/70, Jean cl 1-28 (Y58803) in Sep/70 and Aro cl 1-50 (Y59715) in Nov/70 by Cima Resources Ltd and Dynasty Explorations Ltd (later Cyprus Anvil), which carried out ground geophysical surveying and drilled one hole (176 m) in 1970, mapped in 1972 and carried out magnetometer and Turam surveying in 1973. A joint venture was formed with Preussag Canada Ltd, which carried out Turam and gravity surveying in 1976-77 and drilled one hole (337 m) on ARO cl 24 in 1977.
Capsule Geology
The claims are underlain by schists of the Lower Cambrian Mount Mye formation and calc-silicate rocks of the Cambrian to Ordovician Vangorda formation near the contact of the mid-Cretaceous Anvil Batholith. The only mineralization seen was a trace of galena in phyllite during the 1977 drilling.
