Work History
Staked in Dec/65 as Fair cl 1-132 (95999) in three separate blocks by Consolidated Bellekeno Mines Ltd, Ross River Syndicate and Torwest Resources Ltd and Ann cl 1-24 (96513) of Slocan Ottawa Mines Ltd to the southwest.
The first two blocks were restaked as Aro cl 1-50 (Y59715) in Nov/70 by Atlas Exploration Ltd (later Cima Resources Ltd) and Dynasty Explorations Ltd (later Cyprus Anvil) and explored in a joint venture with Preussag Canada Ltd with Turam and gravity surveying in 1976-77.
The Torwest block was restaked as Alice cl 1-30 (Y92118) in Feb/75 by Vangorda Project (Welcome North Mines Ltd and Getty Mines Ltd), which carried out geological mapping, geochemical, magnetometer and EM surveying in 1975.
Capsule Geology
The claims, which occur in an overburden covered area, are apparently underlain by a belt of Lower Cambrian Mount Mye formation schists and Cambrian to Ordovician Vangorda formation calc-silicate rocks between granite of the mid-Cretaceous Anvil Batholith to the north and mid-Cretaceous biotite-granite to the south.
