Work History
Staked as Jo cl 1-30 (95036) in Dec/65 by Mid-West Mines Ltd and Ventures Mining Ltd, which formed a new company Kim Exploration Ltd, in Jun/66 to hold the claims. Kim carried out geochemical, ground magnetometer and EM surveying and geological mapping in 1966 and 1967; drilled 4 holes (342 m) in 1968; and carried out gravity surveying in 1969.
Restaked as TSS cl 1-39 (Y79609) in Jul/74 by Teck Corp and Silver Standard Mines Ltd, which carried out geochemical, magnetometer and EM surveying in 1974 and bulldozer trenching in 1975. Curragh Resources Inc carried out geological mapping in 1988. In Nov/94 Anvil Range Mining Corporation acquired all claims owned by Curragh following the bankruptcy of the latter.
In Jan/98 Anvil Range filed for court protection in order to restructure the company. In Jan/99 Anvil Range¿s stock was delisted and the company entered bankruptcy proceedings.
Capsule Geology
The claims are underlain by calc-silicate rock of the Cambrian to Ordovician Vangorda formation. The 1968 drilling tested weak coincident geochemical, EM and gravity responses associated with four small intense magnetic anomalies but no mineralization was intersected.
