Work History

Staked as Hardtack cl (60475) in Aug/51 by M. Grenier who hand trenched in 1952. Restaked as Kodiak and Dee cl (88765) by Canex Placer L in Jul/64; as Hi cl (Y2445) in Mar/66 by Hi-Boy Mg & EL; and as Yukon Silver 25-32 cl (Y19346) in Aug/67 by Pacific Giant Steel Ores L which performed grid soil sampling and cleaned out existing bulldozer trenches by hand later in the year. The claims were later transferred to G. Leverman, who formed a new company, Spencer Creek ML, and conducted mapping and geophysical surveys in 1968 and bulldozer trenching in 1969 and 1970.
Restaked as Roxy, etc cl (YA28303) in Mar/78 by B. Bailey and A.E. Thom, who added more claims and hand trenched in 1979 and 1980 before transferring the property to H. Fierro.
Restaked as Oro cl (YA70186) in Jun/83 by D. Schellenberg, who performed geochem sampling and trenching in 1984. A. Rich carried out bulldozer trenching in 1985 under an option. In 1986, the claims were re-optioned to Yukon Mls Corp, which explored with mag, EM and geochem surveys and 8 holes (620 m). In 1987, Perrex Res Inc explored with bulldozer trenching in a joint venture with Yukon Mls. Yukon Minerals performed further trenching and road construction in June and July 1990.
A. Mercier staked Top cl 1-4 (YB60256) 3 km to the north in Aug/95.

Capsule Geology

Galena and sphalerite are associated with quartz gangue and carbonate alteration in vertical, weathered breccia zones up to 0.9 m wide. The zones follow the margins of 0.6-0.9 m wide green mafic dykes which cut phyllite and limestone of probable Lower Cambrian age. The zones strike northeast, are manganese-stained at surface and have been traced for a length of over 500 m. Two grab samples by Black averaged 27.4 g/t Ag, 1.0% Pb and 1.1% Zn. A chip sample across 15 cm by Sevensma assayed 1440.0 g/t Ag, 65.5% Pb and 0.9% Zn. Minor amounts of chalcopyrite were noted in the 1985 trenching, from which the best specimens assayed 668.6 g/t Ag, 71.5% Pb and 1.2% Zn. Prospecting in 1986 uncovered vertical, east-trending quartz veins up to 20 cm wide containing galena and pyrite. Selected specimens gave assays of up to 78.9 g/t Ag and 3.6% Pb.
