General Information
Abstract: Four new glass-fission-track age determinations on three distal tephra beds, together with published magnetostratigraphic and 40Ar/39Ar age data, securely place a Late Pliocene age (2.6-3.3 Ma) on the upper White Channel Gravel in the Klondike district of the Yukon. No tephra beds have been found in the lower White Channel Gravel, so its age is only loosely constrained by paleomagnetism and paleobotany, which suggest a post-Miocene and pre-Late Pliocene age.
