Work History
 
Staked as the KP claims in July 1944 by Hudson Bay Mining & Smelting Co., which undertook mapping and sampling. Restaked by W. McKinnon as the Mac cl (76984) in Aug/61, and optioned in 1961-62 by Kootenay Base Met L, which performed hand trenching; and in 1965 by Logjam Silver ML (Macassa Gold ML). Pure Silver ML. completed roadwork between 1965 and 1967.
 
The property was restaked as Barb cl (Y72102) in Jan/73 by A.M.P. EL, which repaired the road in 1973 and optioned the claims from 1974 to 1977 to Darva Res & Dev L, which added more Barb cl (Y83362) in Sep/74 and performed-minor rehabilitation work. The property was optioned by Rebel Dev L in 1979, which built an access road and by Pure Silver ML, which installed a complete trailer camp.
 
The claims reverted in 1982 to A.M.P., which performed a legal survey in 1982 and performed drilling to target Vein 5: 2 holes in 1986 (86-1 and 86-2; 166.7 m) and 2 holes (87-1 and 87-2; 186.5 m) and road building in 1988. In Dec/92 the Barb and Log claims were transferred to 7188 Yukon Ltd.  The area was restaked as M2 cl 1-13 (YB93637) in Apr/2002 by F. Andersen. CMC Metals optioned the remaining M2 claims and staked the L.J. claims in 2006.
 
Capsule Geology
 
The Logjam Property lies within a belt of Yukon-Tanana Terrane rocks. This belt of rocks is part of an accreted island arc assemblage consisting of bi-modal volcanics, coeval plutons and sedimentary rocks, as well as younger Jurassic and Cretaceous intrusions. The main units in the area are Devono-Mississippian Finlayson Group intermediate to mafic meta-volcanic and volcaniclastic and meta-sedimentary rocks, plutonic rocks of the Early Jurassic Long Lake Suite and siliciclastics of the Triassic Jones Lake(?) Formation.
 
The Logjam property consists of eight quartz-sulphide fault veins containing gold, silver, lead and zinc associated with galena, sphalerite, pyrrhotite, arsenopyrite, pyrite and minor chalcopyrite. Minor amounts of bismuth, antimony and tungsten mineralization are also present. 
 
Vein 5 crops out at surface and is hosted in Early Jurassic Long Lake Group diorite. In 1945, surface drilling targeting Vein 5 returned 0.40 m of 6.17 g/t Au, 2561 g/t Ag, 22.1% Pb and 4.7% Zn (hole 1; AR 061967)

Vein 5 was intersected by drilling in 1986 from the underground drift of vein 6. DDH 1986-1 was drilled horizontally and returned an intersection of 1.13 g/t Au, 434 g/t Ag, 4.75% Pb and 2.6% Zn over 0.4 m. The vein zone was described as roughly banded pyrrhotite, galena, sphalerite, arsenopyrite and pyrite in a grey quartz-calcite matrix..
 
In 2018, Vein 5 was described at surface as a strongly oxidized yellow galena-rich quartz-carbonate vein striking 024 and dipping 72 degrees southeast. A sample (1319603) from this showing assayed 7.5 g/t Au, >1000 g/t Ag, >1.0% Pb and 0.18% Zn.
