Work History

*Previous versions of the Yukon Minfile reported this showing as Minfile Occurrence #105D194.

Staked as the Cameo cl 1-2 (YA82592) in Jul/84 by V. Paylor who trenched and drilled 8 rotary drill holes (36 m) the following year. Paylor added Cameo cl 3-4 (YB13713) in May/88. In Sep/97 Paylor drilled a line of 10 auger drill holes (54 m), averaging approximately 5.4 m in depth, on Cameo claim #1.
During the mid 1990s rip-rap material and gravel was removed from the claim area for use in the construction of neighbouring sewage lagoons.

Capsule Geology

The occurrence is located in a low lying area covered by Pleistocene glacial material. Hart (1997) noted a small exposure of Upper Triassic, Hancock Member limestone. The rotary and auger drilling programs appear to have attempted to locate possible gold bearing quartz-carbonate vein(s) in the limestone. No mineralization was reported and the drill sites were reclaimed.
