Work History

First noted by the GSC in 1972 and apparently never staked or investigated. This target lies within a large area withdrawn from staking in Jun/78 pending creation of a National Wilderness Park, settlement of native land claims, and development of a management plan for the Porcupine Caribou Herd.

Capsule Geology

A 2-m seam of poor quality, high volatile bituminous coal is interbedded with sand, gravel and mud belonging to the Aklak Member of the Paleocene Reindeer Formation. The coal is exposed on the west flank of Deep Creek syncline.
