Noted by McConnell in 1888 and apparently never explored.
Capsule Geology
A thin bed of shaly lignite is exposed on the bank of the Porcupine River 9.6 km above the Old Crow River. Outcrops in this vicinity are sandstone and concretionary shale of Upper Cretaceous age which occur at the south margin of the Kaltag fault.
