Work History
Coal was discovered at this location by the GSC in 1970 but has apparently never been investigated.
Capsule Geology
Small pods and 2.5 to 30 cm thick interbeds of anthracite occur throughout a Lower Cretaceous clastic sequence. Norris reported sampling a poorly exposed and deeply oxidized anthracite seam in the Lower Cretaceous Kamik Formation while measuring GSC section 116F14.
