Work History

Staked as Rose cl (YA64779) in Sep/81 by Sikanni Oilfields L during construction of an access road to a placer operation. An old hand pit and bulldozer trail were probably made by Cassiar Asbestos Corp L or Conwest in the early 1960s. Sikanni explored with trenching in 1981 and 1983.

Capsule Geology

A poorly exposed serpentinite body about 150 m by 200 m in area is situated about one km west of Clinton Creek townsite. The serpentinite is mainly highly sheared but contains some massive sections with erratic fibre veins up to 5 mm wide. Surrounding rocks are mainly schists of the Nasina Series.
