Work History
Staked as Emu cl (79116) in Aug/62 following an aeromag survey by a joint venture between Asbestos Corp and Yukon Cons Gold Corp, which restaked in Sep/63 as RG cl (79405) and explored with a ground magnetic survey and mapping and minor trenching in 1964.
The claims were transferred to D. Reinke in 1967 and optioned in 1968 to Acheron ML, which performed a ground mag survey and explored in a joint venture with Falcon EL by bulldozer trenching in 1971 and 3 drill holes (277.4 m) and more bulldozer trenching in 1972. The Clin Chin cl (87530) were tied on in Jul/66 by Sphere Dev Corp L, which flew an aeromag survey in 1967. Acheron changed its name to Pan Acheron Res L in 1976 and to Acheron Res L in 1982 and conducted more bulldozer trenching in 1976.
Capsule Geology
Chrysotile fibre occurs in a zone up to 305 m long and 12 m wide within a large serpentine body 1 220 by 610 m that is enclosed in argillite of the Nasina Series. The best hole returned a 10.7 m section grading 1.7% fibre with maximum length of 6 mm (hole 3). The average maximum length is about 10 mm.
