Work History
Staked as CEC cl 1-4 (YBI7452) in Jul/88 by G. Freibergs, who transferred a 67% interest to C. McLennan in Jul/89.
In Apr/97 Canadian United Minerals Inc staked Ree N-W cl 1-12 (YC03901) 7.5 km to the northwest and Ree West cl 1-12 (YC04003) 3 kms to the west and carried out prospecting and magnetometer surveying of both claim blocks in Mar/98.
Capsule Geology
The CEC claims covered a contact between volcanic and sedimentary rocks of Proterozoic or Cambrian age.
Canadian United's claims blocks are underlain by Marmot Formation amygdaloidal basalt, of Lower Cambrian to Lower Ordovician age. Magnetic response was flat over the Ree N-W claims and was flat over most of the test line on the Ree West claims, except for two moderately magnetic features of unknown source detected at the west end of the line. No mineralization was found on either claim block.
These areas now lie within the boundaries of the Tombstone Territorial Park and have been withdrawn from staking.
