Work History
Staked as Og cl 1-72 (Y89914) in Aug/74 by Hudson Bay Exploration and Development Company Limited, Minorco Canada Limited and Tombill Mining Ltd following a reconnaissance stream sediment geochemical and prospecting program. The companies conducted mapping, geochem sampling, an IP survey, added more Og claims, and drilled 12 holes (1966.3 m) in 1975 and conducted more IP, bulldozer trenching and geochem sampling and drilled 12 holes (1894.6 m) in 1976.
Restaked as Bog cl 1-14 (YB40117) in Jun/91 by Archer Cathro and Associates (1981) Ltd.
In Jun/96, High Sense Geophysics Ltd under contract to Equity Engineering Limited flew a regional, helicopter borne, magnetic and radiometric survey over most of the Coal Creek Inlier.
In 2007, Full Metal completed surface mapping, soil sampling and a ground gravity geophysical survey over the property. Soil sampling outlined the Raider Zone, a new multielement soil anomaly. The gravity survey was completed over part of the Yankee zone soil anomaly.
Capsule Geology
The area is underlain by Lower Proterozoic Quartet Group dolomite, minor shale and quartzite (Gordey et al., 1999).
Geophysics, geochemistry and preliminary mapping programs were carried out by Hudson Bay in the mid-seventies and defined two significant anomalous IP trends associated with gossans and occurrences of sphalerite and galena. Subsequent drilling intersected banded dolomites and jigsaw breccias containing numerous, erratically distributed mineralized intersections containing sphalerite, galena, pyrite and rare chalcopyrite. The best results was hole Og-4 which returned 16.3 m of 7.61% Zn, 2.06% Pb and 63 g/t Ag. The mineralization may be fault related however it¿s extent was not defined.
The airborne geophysical survey outlined numerous northeast trending features which were interpreted to be faults.
