Work History

Staked as Lee 1-4 cl (Y26730) in Jul/68 by a joint venture between Can Superior EL and Rolling Hills Copper ML, which performed prospecting and hand trenching later in the year. The joint venture also performed similar work on a second property, Lee 5-8 cl (Y26756) situated 3.2 km to the southwest. M. Zulps and E.O. Chisholm tied on Art cl (Y27313) to the north in Jun/68 and L. Ashley tied on Reg cl (Y26658) to the east in Jul/68 but performed no work.

Capsule Geology

Quartz veins containing minor chalcopyrite were found near mafic sills cutting sedimentary rocks of the Lower Proterozoic, Gillespie Lake and Quartet Group in two areas, about 3 km apart. The mafic sills are believed to be feeders to the Hart River volcanics.
