Work History
Staked as Bander & Snatch cl (YA40328) in Jul/79 by the Cortin Project (CCH Res L, Inco and Billiton E Can L), which explored with geochem sampling and mapping in 1979-81. CCH changed its name to Campbell Res Inc in 1980.
Capsule Geology
The claims were staked on reconnaissance stream sediment tin anomalies in an area underlain by Late Proterozoic-Early Cambrian Hyland Group metasedimentary rocks including argillite, limestone, phyllite and quartz-feldspar crystal tuff. The metamorphic rocks are intruded by Cretaceous feldspar porphyry and biotite lamprophyre dykes and quartz diorite to granite porphyry stocks.
Soil sampling on the claims returned moderately anomalous values in silver, arsenic and zinc although tin values are uniformly low. The only mineralization found consists of accessory amounts of galena and arsenopyrite that occur locally in quartz-carbonate veins.
