Work History
Explored prior to 1901 and described by GSC but no record of staking was found. Staked as Lucy cl (7574) in Jun/07. Two claims were staked the following month, Bell cl, (7592), located 2 miles southwest on Ten Mile Creek, and Golden Cache cl (7598), 4 km upstream on the Sixty Mile River. The Galena King cl (12546) and Blue Bell cl (12568) were staked on Ten Mile Creek in Oct/15 and Apr/16.
D. Hermanutz staked Sleaper cl 1-6 (YB39958) 2 km to the southwest in Mar/91 at the confluence of Ten Mile and Donovan Creeks. Hermanutz restaked the claims as Sleaper cl 1-6 (YB40571) in May/92 and added Sleaper cl 7-8 (YB41918) in May/93.
Capsule Geology
McConnell described two gold-quartz veins in this area which cut medsedimentary rocks. The first, located about 1.6 km below Twelve Mile Creek, is 1.2 m wide, assaying 2.0 g/t Au. The second, located on a bluff 9.7 km upstream on the Sixty Mile River, is a strong vein 2.4 m wide from which a specimen assayed 0.4 g/t Au.
