Staked as TP cl 1-6 (YB17930) and TP cl 7-10 (YB179362) in Sep/88 by TP Resources Ltd. The two claim blocks are separated by a 2 mile wide gap and appear to have been staked to protect numerous placer claims staked on the right and left forks of Ballarat Creek. The company carried out ground magnetometer surveys over the placer claims in 1988 and 1990. The company changed its name to Crew Natural Resources Ltd in Sep/88.

Restaked within TL cl 184-580 (YD30405) and cl 581-632 (YD31571) in Aug/2010 by Arcus Development Group Inc. These claims are part of Arcus Development’s Touleary property (Minfile Occurrence #115O 176 and 115J 060), located approximately 12 km and 9 km respectively, to the northwest. The original claims, TL cl 1-109 (YC76097) staked in Sep/2008 and TL cl 110-183 (YC93602) staked in Apr/2009 were staked by ATAC Resources Ltd. In Jun/2009 ATAC Resources optioned a 50 % interest in the TL claims and 3 other neighboring claim blocks to Arcus Development Group in return for cash, shares and certain work conditions. The four optioned claim groups (Touleary, Dan Man, Shamrock and Green Gulch) are collectively called the Dawson Gold Project.

Arcus Development carried out exploration programs in 2009 and 2010 on Minfile Occurrence #115O 176. In 2011 the company explored on Minfile Occurrences 115O 176 and 115J 060. Exploration work carried out in 2012 and 2013 was limited to Minfile Occurrence #115J 060.

In Mar/2011 an airborne magnetic survey was flown over the entire Dawson Gold Project however, the survey did not extend to this occurrence.

In Mar/2012 Arcus Development fully exercised its property option with ATAC Resources and acquired a 50% interest in the Dawson Gold Project including the Touleary (TL claims) property.

It appears no exploration work has been carried out in the vicinity of the occurrence by either company.

GEOLOGY

The occurrence area is located in the southeast corner of the Touleary property near the southern end of Ballarat Creek. The actual occurrence is located on the west side of the creek and represents the strongest magnetic anomaly identified by TP/Crew Resources.
 
The area was most recently mapped during regional geological mapping by the Geological Survey of Canada in the early 2000’s, first published by Ryan and Gordey (2001a) and compiled with surrounding map sheets by Gordey and Ryan (2005). Arcus Development has not carried out any geological mapping near this occurrence and the regional mapping of Ryan and Gordey (2001a) remains the best geological map for the area.
 
The area is underlain by an assemblage of polydeformed and metamorphosed quartzite, greenstone and amphibolite rocks assigned to Upper Devonian and Older Snowcap assemblage and Upper Devonian to Lower Mississippian intermediate to mafic volcanic rocks assigned to the Finlayson assemblage. The entire package is intruded by Permian granitic rocks assigned to the Sulfur Creek Suite. Mississippian aged plutonic rocks assigned to the Simpson Range suite are in structural contact with the Snowcap assemblage to the east.

 TP/Crew Natural Resources carried out proton magnetometer surveys in an effort to delineate placer concentrations of magnetite. These are traditionally associated with concentrations of gold in the Ballarat Creek area. The surveys outlined numerous magnetic anomalies across the claims, although some anomalies probably correspond with bedrock sources rather than placer sources of magnetite. It is unclear whether the companies ever followed up on the anomalies.
