Work History
Staked as Patt cl (Y90978) in Sep/74 by Amoco Can Pet CL, which conducted mapping, geochem sampling and an IP survey in 1975 and drilled 4 holes (564.8 m) in 1976. Restaked as Ross cl (YA74073) in Oct/81 by V. Paylor.
J. McMullen staked Pat cl (YA59989) 1.6 km to the northwest in May/81.
Capsule Geology
Drilling tested molybdenum soil anomalies with weak IP response associated with an alaskite pluton. Except for disseminated molybdenite in a clay-altered zone near the bottom of one hole, the drillholes encountered only minor molybdenite rosettes and chalcopyrite and pyrite blebs in narrow quartz veins. The veining is associated with alaskite dykes similar in composition to the main pluton. Grades averaged about 0.01% Cu and 0.015% MoS2. The intrusion cuts Nasina Series quartzite.
