Work History
Staked as Pelly cl (Y57546) in Aug/70 by Can Occidental Pet L, which explored by grid soil sampling, geological mapping and mag and IP surveys in 1971, drilled 3 holes (430.0 m) in 1972 and added the Prat cl (Y66664) in May/72. The claims partially overstaked the Palisades Nature Retreat.
Restaked as Dad cl (YA59258) in Feb/81 by United Keno Hill ML, which performed mapping and geochemical sampling later in the year.
Capsule Geology
The claims were staked to cover copper and molybdenum geochemical anomalies near the contact between foliated granodiorite, and Paleozoic? argillite, tuff and graphitic schist, and Triassic mafic volcanic rocks. Sparsely distributed pyrite, chalcopyrite and traces of chalcocite were found in the western part of the granodiorite.
The 1972 drilling tested geochemical and IP targets, intersecting graphitic argillite and tuff with up to 20% pyrite but only minor values in Cu (104 ppm) and Mo (74 ppm).
