Work History

Staked as 19 Copper claims in Jun-Jul/1900 by C.D. Cameron and inadvertently overstaked but not recorded by a M.L. Sharp. There is no record of subsequent work.

Capsule Geology

Newspaper accounts indicated the presence of an azurite zone 4.6 to 5.2 m wide on the river bank. The zone was apparently traceable for a strike length of 900 to 1200 m. A shipment of ore was reportedly sent to Dawson by river boat.
An old cut line was the only evidence of human activity seen here in 1970 and no mineralization was found. The area is underlain by conglomerate, arkose and sandstone of the Jurassic Tanglefoot Formation.
