Work History
Staked as Power cl (YA86120) in Nov/84 by A. Carlos, who mapped and sampled in 1985. Restaked as Power cl (YB25802) in May/89 by D. Banks.
Capsule Geology
The claims are underlain by Tertiary volcanic rocks. High gold values were obtained from pan concentrates but the source has not been located. Lead-zinc bearing float, discovered during prospecting, assayed up to 16.4% Zn, 0.4% Pb, 8 ppm Ag and 50 ppb Au.
The only mineralization found in place consists of minor pyrite with traces of galena and sphalerite in a northeast-trending shear zone cutting rhyolite. A sample from the shear zone assayed 0.3% Pb and 35 ppb Au.
