Work History
Staked as Snap cl (YA81590) in Apr/84 by H. Coyne, who performed mapping later that year. Dodgex Inc tied on Dingo cl (YB6127) to the north in Aug/87. Restaked as part of a large block of Nick cl (YB24674) in Jan/89 by S. Young, who did soil sampling later that year, and added the Ken (YB27453), ST (YB27411) and Land (YB35444) claims to the northeast between June and October, 1990. An airborne geophysical survey was flown over the Nick property in spring 1990, and ground VLF and mag and geochemical surveys were conducted later that year.
Capsule Geology
The claims are underlain by Tertiary felsic and mafic volcanic and volcaniclastic rocks that are interpreted as a caldera collapse complex. The rocks are silicified and clay altered, and contain drusy or crustiform chalcedony and quartz veins with minor fluorite. Precious metal assays returned low values.
