Work History
Placer gold was discovered here about 1910 and lode claims were recorded in 1936 on a lode gold occurrence although the staking records have not been located.
Capsule Geology
The area is underlain by basalt, latite and minor rhyolite of the Miocene-Pliocene Wrangell Lavas overlying Siluro-Devonian crystalline limestone and Paleozoic metasandstone and metagrit.
