Work History
Noted by the GSC in 1905 but apparently not investigated until it was acquired by Aran O & GL in Nov/77 as Coal Exploration Licence #93. The leases were optioned by Pan Ocean OL and relicensed as #129 in Sep/80.
Capsule Geology
A 1.8 m lignite seam occurs with clay and sandstone within the upper Paleocene section of the Bonnet Plume Formation. The lignite contains twigs, leaves and blebs of resin. Another section of coal exposed 3.2 km downstream overlies a bed of clay and soft sandstone.
