Work History

The earliest staking in this vicinity was the Ice cl 1-24 (Y31659) in Feb/69 by Arrow Inter-America Corporation Ltd, Clar cl 1-40 (Y32089) in May/69 by New Jersey Zinc Exploration Company Ltd, and PBS cl 1-26 (Y97334) 1.6 km to the east in May/75 by M. Leis. No work was reported on any of the claims, which were probably staked on weak silt anomalies obtained by the Geological Survey of Canada's Operation Keno in 1964.
Restaked as Bag cl 1-80 (YA15000) in Apr and Sep/77 by Prism Joint Venture (1977 = Asamera Oil Corporation Ltd, Chieftain Development Company Ltd, Prism Resources Ltd, Siebens Oil & Gas Ltd and E & B Explorations Ltd), which explored with mapping and geochem sampling later in 1977 and 1978. In 1979, Dome Petroleum Ltd replaced Siebens in the joint venture.
The Pat cl 1-130 (YA40195) were fringe staked to the north in Jul/79 by Canadian Superior Exploration Ltd and explored by mapping and prospecting.

Capsule Geology

On the Prism property, Late Proterozoic to Cambrian Hyland Group rocks and unconformably overlying Middle Devonian and younger slate and quartzite have been thrust northward over a package of rocks consisting of Ordovician to Lower Devonian Road River equivalent shale and dolomite and Devonian to Mississippian Earn Group shale. A small body of fibrous serpentinite occurs along the thrust fault.
Geochemical surveys returned anomalous silver, lead and zinc values but the source was not located. Minor galena and sphalerite were noted in quartz veinlets cutting Earn Group shale. The Pat claims were staked over a quartzite unit with minor quartz veining.
