First staked in Aug/91 as Keg cl (YB18728) for Kennecott Canada Inc., which performed a reconnaissance geological and geochemical survey in 1992. The claims were staked to cover a strong multielement silt anomaly following a regional geochemical release by the GSC.

The claims cover pyritic shale and conglomerate of the Devono-Mississippian Earn Group.
