Discovered by Atlas EL for the Hess Project (Atlas EL, Quebec Cartier Mg C and Phillips Bros (Can) L) in 1968.
Capsule Geology
A new barium phosphate mineral, Jagowerite, was identified during an exploration program. It consists of light green crystalline masses up to 2.5 cm across in quartz veins and is associated with pyrite and hinsdalite. Host rock is carbonaceous argillite of Paleozoic age.
