Work History

Discovered by the GSC in 1989. Staked by Kennecott Canada Inc. in Jun/91 as Ladue 1-24 cl (YB18091). Kennecott Canada Inc. performed a geological and geochemical reconnaissance survey on the claims in 1992. The initial Ladue 1-8 claims were surrounded by a land claim block and 9 of the subsequent Ladue claims were disallowed due to the land claim.

Capsule Geology

A 2 to 3 m thick bed of barite, quartz and pyrite, overlying 2 m of pyritic and chloritic phyllite, occurs in a sequence of black siliceous slate belonging to the Devono-Mississippian Earn Group.
Ferricrete seeps are common on the property. A zinc soil anomaly was found at the southeast corner of the claims.
