Work History

Discovered by prospecting and staked as Bull cl (Y25735) in Aug/68 by Union Carbide. Only sampling and preliminary evaluation was done.

Capsule Geology

Scheelite occurs in alternating layers of diopside-garnet skarn and hornfels developed in Lower Cambrian metasedimentary rocks. It is best developed near the north contact of a poorly exposed quartz monzonite dike. Grab samples from an outcrop 3 by 2 m assayed as high as 1.56% WO3. The associated sulphide content is negligible. The GSC noted pyrrhotite zones nearby.
