Work History
Staked as Zeus cl (93129) in Oct/65 by Anvil Mg Corp L (Cyprus and Dynasty EL) following an airborne mag and EM survey. Only limited soil sampling and ground geophysical surveys were conducted in 1966.
Restaked as ZED cl (Y91191) to the west and NOR cl (Y91141) to the southeast in Sep/74 by Ridgement Mg Corp L (Cyprus), which conducted mapping and soil sampling and transferred the property to a new company, Cyprus Anvil Mg Corp, in 1975.
Capsule Geology
Prospecting over a 762 by 610 m coincident lead and zinc soil geochemical anomaly led to the discovery of minor vein and replacement lead-zinc and more extensive disseminated to layered iron sulphides on the Nor group in 1975. The claims are underlain by a faulted slice of Permian and Triassic rocks which include chert of the Mt Christie Formation, and clastic rocks and limestone of the Triassic Jones Lake Formation. This fault sliver is bounded on both side by clastic rocks of the Devono-Mississippian Earn Group.
