Work History
Staked as A cl 1-72 (94286) in Nov/65, by Tay River Mines Ltd (Copper Ridge Mines Ltd, Silver Standard Mines Ltd and Utica Mines Ltd), which carried out magnetometer and EM surveying, mapping and soil sampling in 1966 and 1970. Restaked in Feb/73 as KO cl 1-36 (Y67951) by Cream Silver Mines Ltd and Belmoral Mines Ltd, which carried out geological mapping and soil sampling in 1973 and 1974.
The OK cl 1-8 (Y79502) were added on the west side in Jul/74 by Teck Corp and Silver Standard Mines Ltd and Tay River Mines Ltd added the Top cl 1-8 (Y80096) and DG cl 1-6 (Y80526) to the south in Aug/74 and carried out hand trenching and geochemical surveying in 1975. Cream Silver and Belmoral carried out gravity surveying in 1976 in a joint venture with Mackir Mining Ltd.
Cyprus Anvil Mining Corp optioned both groups in 1976 and carried out geological mapping and Turam surveying in 1977.
Capsule Geology
The claims are underlain by Lower Cambrian schist and calc-silicate rocks of the Mount Mye formation near the margin of the mid-Cretaceous Anvil Batholith. No significant anomalies or mineralization have been found.
