Work History
Staked as Bin cl 25-40 (94754) in Nov/65 by Jaye Exploration Ltd, adjoining the Ace group of Anvil Mining Corp Ltd. The adjoining Breeze cl 1-52 (Y527) to the north were staked in Feb/66 by Dynacore Exploration Ltd, which carried out airborne magnetometer and EM surveying, geological mapping and soil sampling later in the year. Jaye conducted ground magnetometer, EM, gravity and soil geochemical surveying and drilled 4 holes (768 m) in 1966.
The west side was restaked as Wynne cl 1-36 (Y92748) in Mar/75 by Vangorda Project (Welcome North Mines Ltd and Getty Mines Ltd), which carried out geochemical, magnetometer and EM surveying in 1975-77 and linecutting in 1982. Mackir Mining Ltd tied on Rog cl 1-25 (YA19741) to the northwest in Sep/77.
Capsule Geology
The claims are underlain by limestone and phyllite of the Cambrian to Ordovician Vangorda formation, overlying basalt, tuff and breccia of the Ordovician to Silurian Menzie Creek formation and carbonaceous shales and quartz sandstones of the Ordovician to Devonian Road River Group. Hole 1 was collared in Menzie Creek formation, Holes 2 and 4 were collared in Road River Group and Hole 3 was collared in Vangorda formation. Most of the Jaye anomaly was caused by greenstone lenses and graphitic schist. No mineralization was found.
