Work History
Staked as Bin cl 25-64 (94747) in Nov/65 by St Lucie Exploration Ltd, which carried out airborne magnetometer and EM surveying in Jun/66 and conducted preliminary ground surveys. Restaked as Fat cl 1-130 (Y78290) in Apr/74 by Ridgemont Mining Corp Ltd (Cyprus), which carried out magnetometer, Turam, and gravity surveying later in the year and transferred the claims to Cyprus Anvil Mining Corp in 1975.
In 1977, Cyprus Anvil entered a joint venture with Metallgesellschaft Canada Ltd and carried out gravity surveying later that year and drilled 2 holes (391 m) in 1978.
Capsule Geology
The claims are underlain by schist of the Lower Cambrian Mount Mye formation near the margin of the mid-Cretaceous Anvil Batholith. One of the 1978 drill holes intersected a series of pyrrhotite-chalcopyrite bands in a 2.6 m wide zone bounded by garnet-staurolite schist. No assays were reported.
