Work History
Staked as Mag & Ted cl (98843) in Feb/66 by T.C. EL and Peace River Pet L, which explored with a magnetic survey and mapping program in 1966 and mag, EM and grid soil surveys in 1967.
Anvil Mining Corporation Ltd staked a group of non-sequentially numbered Last cl (95756) 2.5 km to the north in Dec/65 and carried out overburden drilling of the claims in 1967 in preparation for construction of the proposed Pelly River bridge.
The south side was restaked as Ran cl (YB9383) in Nov/87 by Prime Capital Corp, which optioned the SE end to Norman Res L and the NW end to Baywest Capital Equities Corp, which conducted airborne geophysical surveys, Landsat image analysis and orthophoto preparation in 1988.
J. White tied on M & J cl (YB25473) to the southwest of the Ran cl in Mar/89. The Ran cl were transferred to A. Carlos in Feb/93.
Capsule Geology
The claims are underlain by Permo-Pennsylvanian chert (of the Anvil Allochthon) near the Tintina Fault. No mineralization was found and geochemical and geophysical response was flat except for a few scattered zinc highs.
