Work History
Staked as AM cl (YA66409) in Jul/81 by SMD Mg CL, which performed mapping and geochem sampling in 1981 and 1982 and IP and mag surveys in 1982. The property was transferred to A & M EL in 1987.
Capsule Geology
Disseminated molybdenite and chalcopyrite occur in a 1000 by 1200 m quartz-veined and hornfelsed zone in Cambro-Ordovician quartzose siltstone and slate intruded by a Cretaceous granodiorite plug. Grab samples returned up to 0.06% Cu, 0.02% Mo, 9.4 ppm Ag and 200 ppb Au.
Sphalerite, chalcopyrite and molybdenite also occur in diopside skarns and a grab sample assayed 17.1 g/t Ag.
Two mineralized breccias were found. The largest is a 75 to 100 m wide zone from which a composite sample assayed 0.3% Cu, 0.3% Zn, 0.1% Pb and 10.3 g/t Ag.
