Work History
Staked as Zeus cl (Yl9395) in Aug/67 by Spartan EL, which performed mapping and prospecting in 1967-68. Restaked as Log cl (YA837) in Sep/76 by Noranda, which performed mapping, geochem and EM 16 surveys in 1976 and 1977.
Capsule Geology
Galena, sphalerite, chalcopyrite and scheelite occur in lenses of garnet-diopside-epidote skarn up to 6 m thick that have developed in a limy horizon in hornfelsed Proterozoic rocks adjacent to a Cretaceous granodiorite stock. At least ten separate skarn zones are exposed over a length of 600 m. The highest assays obtained from chip samples were 1.9% Pb, 1.3% Zn, 0.2% Cu, 0.04% W and 58.3 g/t Ag.
