Work History
Staked as Van cl (79810) in Oct/62 by Giant Yellowknife ML.
Restaked by E. Greer in Aug/65 as Hitch-hiker cl (89228), which were examined by Norquest Joint Venture (Anaconda, Asbestos Corp, Bralorne Pioneer, Granby, New Jersey Zinc, and Utah) later in the year. Greer conducted a Waterton-type airborne mag, EM and radiometric survey and 1966, added the PY cls (Yl3649) in Aug/66 and transferred the property to Telkwa Mountain ML, which carried out mapping, sampling and an airborne survey in 1967.
Capsule Geology
Galena, sphalerite and chalcopyrite occur in narrow replacement lenses in fractured limestone interbedded with Proterozoic carbonaceous and graphitic shale near a small Cretaceous granitic stock. Specimens assayed 5 to 10% Pb+Zn+Cu with up to 994 g/t Ag. The mineralization was found at eight locations over a strike length of 1.5 km. The 1967 airborne survey failed to detect any anomalies.
