Work History
Staked as May and PJ cl (89262) in Aug/65 by Mt Billings Venture (Asarco, Cerro and Duval), which conducted surface surveys and hand trenching before returning the claims to the prospector, who optioned them to Ramada ML in 1966.
The showing was restaked in Apr/70 by Matt Berry ML as the Kay and Apex cl (Y42292), and in Jul/74 by A. Mercier as Fran and Al cl(Y83081). J. Melynychuk staked Ja-Lo cl(YA46288) 3.2 km to the west in Oct/79.
Restaked as Tower cl 1-24 (YB79569) by E.F. Asp in Mar/96.
Capsule Geology
The showing consists of pyrrhotite lenses with some chalcopyrite in siliceous schist near the margin of a Cretaceous stock. A composite sample of mineralization from a trench assayed 2.8% Cu, 2.7 g/t Ag and trace gold and zinc. Other samples ranged from 0.17-0.27% Cu, 4.1-6.2 g/t Ag, 0.18-0.58% Ni and trace to 0.19% Co. One sample assayed 1.3% Zn and another assayed 0.06% Mo.
