Work History

Staked as Spurt cl (YA21239) in Jul/77 by Cominco and enclosing Tom cl (YA26155) in Sep/77 by St Joseph EL. Both companies explored with mapping and geochem sampling later in the year and St Joseph conducted additional geochem surveys and mapping in 1978.

Capsule Geology

The property is underlain by Cambrian to Mississippian sedimentary and volcanic rocks. Mineralization consists of hydrozincite along fractures in thin bedded, dolomitic limestone of Ordovician or Silurian age. In addition, minor chalcocite is found in quartz veins cutting the limestone, and sphalerite and local barite occur in limy shale which is thought to belong to the Road River Formation.
