Work History
Discovered by the GSC in 1944 and staked in Jul/74 as Lee cl (Y79350) by M. Zeiler. Restaked as Eel cl (YA4634) in Jun/76 by Welcome North ML, which performed mapping and geochem sampling in 1976 and 1977. St Joseph EL tied on Bob cl (YA22769) to the north in Mar/78 and explored with geochem sampling and mapping later in the year.
Capsule Geology
The original showing found by the GSC consists of minor amounts of malachite and chalcopyrite with small, green micaceous crystals in occasional quartz veins which cut Cambro-Ordovician shale and carbonate. Welcome North found minor amounts of galena and sphalerite in Road River Formation shale of Ordovician to Lower Devonian age.
