Work History
Noted by the GSC in the late 1940's and first staked in Aug/76 as Hum cl (YA7900) by Amax. Restaked as Naiad cl (YA62141) in Aug/81 by Nat JV (Armco Mineral EL & Chevron Can L), which performed mapping and reconnaissance soil sampling in 1982.
Capsule Geology
Minor galena occurs in wide spaced fractures in volcanic xenoliths 3 cm to 10 m in diameter within coarse-grained quartz monzonite of the Coast Plutonic Complex. Minor malachite occurs in occasional fractures and aplite dykes up to 1 m wide. Crystals of fluorite 2.5 to 3.8 cm across occur with pyramidal quartz crystals in vugs up to 1 m in diameter.
Soil sampling outlined an area of anomalous lead response (up to 570 ppm) on the east side of Boudette Creek. Prospecting over the anomaly located minor float with traces of galena, which assayed as high as 569.8 g/t silver and 1% lead.
