Work History

The GSC noted two coal seams here in 1906 and claim posts in 1912 although no workings were present. The GSC field notes were studied by Luscar Ltd in 1969 while it was evaluating this area as part of Coal Exploration Licence 4.

Capsule Geology

The GSC noted that coal and coal bloom occur in a 15.2 m thick shale sequence that is part of the Jurassic-Cretaceous Tantalus Formation. Luscar listed the quality as poor.
