Work History

Discovered in 1969 by Luscar Ltd while it held the surrounding area as Coal Exploration Licence 5. T. Morgan staked the Duck cl (YB25709) 4 km to the northeast in April, 1990.

Capsule Geology

Coal bloom was seen in black shale of the Jurassic-Cretaceous Tantalus Formation. One poor quality seam is apparently present.
The Duck claims covered an area of quartz-carbonate veining and pyritic hornfels along the contact between Cretaceous granodiorite and sedimentary rocks of the Jurassic Laberge Group. No samples from these claims were analysed.
