Work History

Discovered in early 1900's. Staked as Gronk cl (Y18782) in Jun/67 and transferred to Lewes River ML in 1968 and explored by reconnaissance soil sampling, prospecting and an aeromag survey. Canex optioned the claims in Sep/69 and restaked them in Jul/70 as the Vic cl (Y52520). The east half of the property was soil sampled in 1971.

Capsule Geology

A garnet skarn containing minor chalcopyrite is exposed intermittently for over 914.4 m along the contact between Lewes River group limestone and a granodiorite stock. Old prospect pits are found in the area. A strong linear magnetic anomaly found about 1.6 km to the southeast was soil sampled but response was poor through the deep glacio-fluvial overburden.
