Work History
Staked as Caribou cl (YA54203) in Mar/80 by Regional Res L and optioned briefly by a joint venture between Amax and Pan Ocean, which carried out mapping, geochem sampling and an IP survey later in the year. Restaked in Sep/86 as part of the Car cl (YA91575) by Silver Hart ML, which performed mapping and trenching in 1987.
Capsule Geology
The claims are underlain by Lower Cambrian biotite schist and quartzite intruded by Cretaceous(?) medium to fine-grained quartz-feldspar porphyry intrusions. The intrusions are extensively fractured and exhibit pervasive quartz-sericite, clay and pyrite alteration. Molybdenite occurs in quartz veins and as disseminations in clay-altered porphyry.
The IP surveys outlined two linear anomalies, one along the northeast side of the property and the other along the southwest side. The magnetic surveys outlined a 450 by 1350 m magnetic low in the southwest corner of the property.
