Work History

Staked as Ursus cl (YA56148) in Aug/80 by a joint venture between SEREM L and Samin Can Inc, which performed mapping, mag and geochem surveys in 1980 and 1981 and hand trenching in 1981.

Capsule Geology

The property is underlain by Cretaceous pegmatitic biotite quartz monzonite to granodiorite to the north intruding Lower Cambrian quartz-biotite schist and minor quartzite, recrystallized limestone and garnet skarn to the south. A number of pan concentrates from the property contain cassiterite and these return values of up to 15 500 ppm Sn. The highest rock assay was 0.07% Sn from an altered pegmatite. Minor scheelite was found in the skarns. One specimen of tourmaline and wolframite from a quartz vein in the intrusion assayed 0.52% WO3.
